About
A small studio, by design
Kittiewake is a small design studio in Tallinn. We make brand identities, packaging and small websites for cafés, craft shops and the kind of local business that is one or two people and a good idea.
We worked as independent freelancers for several years before this — a lot of the work in our portfolio was done before we became Kittiewake. In autumn 2026 we put our names together under one, and this site is the first thing the studio made for itself.
How we work
We take one or two projects at a time and keep them small on purpose. The person who draws your mark is the person who answers your email; there is no account manager, no hand-off, no surprise third party.
We start by learning the shop — who comes in, what sells, the actual room the work lives in. We show a first direction early and change it with you, once or twice, rather than presenting ten options and calling it choice. We design for the real world the thing will meet: the cheap print run, the phone in the queue, the dim wall three metres away.

The team
Noor
Design & identity
Noor leads brand work — type, marks and colour. She likes a logo you can stamp with one ink and a palette a local printer can hit first time.
Elias
Websites & build
Elias builds the sites — small, fast, and easy for an owner to update. He would rather delete a feature than add one, and the page loads the better for it.
Riia
Print & production
Riia takes the work to paper and material — labels, packets, signage. She knows which ideas survive a cheap print run and which only look good on a screen.
What we care about
Make less, better
A smaller thing done well beats a bigger thing done fast. We leave out what you do not need.
Build for the real world
The cheap printer, the slow connection, the owner updating it alone — we design for those, not for a perfect screen.
Hand it over properly
You get the files and a short plain guide. Your brand is yours to run, not a thing you have to come back and rent.
Stay honest and plain
No jargon, clear prices, and we tell you when something is not worth doing.
Currently booked until spring 2027 — we are not taking on new projects for now. You are welcome to write anyway; we reply and keep your note on file.
